about me

I'm Abraao da Silva, a Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science student with a passion for innovation and soccer. I love solving challenging problems and bringing ideas to life, whether coding or playing on the field. My aim is to bring my skills to the table to help my teammates achieve a collective goal.

This is me, a curious mind and diligent student exploring the worlds of Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science, with a heart that beats for innovation and the joy of soccer. My story is one of turning challenges into stepping stones—navigating through life as a first-generation college student from Brazil. My family and community have been my inspiration and drive, reinforcing my resolve to use technology as a force for good.

Coding isn't just a skill for me; it's a language through which I converse with the future, crafting solutions to complex problems that transcend borders. On the soccer field, I find parallels in teamwork and strategy, skills that are just as applicable when brainstorming ideas for a new project.

My academic journey at North Central College isn't merely about earning a degree—it's about molding a mindset and sharpening skills that prioritize empathy and innovation. Here, amidst the thrill of creation and the rigor of analysis, I'm preparing not just to enter the tech world but to make a positive impact on it.

As I approach my graduation in May 2025, I am now actively seeking a full-time position that leverages my expertise in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science. My academic journey at North Central College, along with my internship experiences at Schneider Electric and Cummins, has equipped me with valuable skills in manufacturing engineering, data management, automation, and preventive maintenance. These experiences have provided me with hands-on exposure to real-world engineering challenges and strengthened my ability to develop innovative solutions. I am eager to bring this knowledge to a full-time role, where I can continue to grow professionally and contribute to impactful engineering advancements.
